I know how you guys feel i priced a valiant 832 to fit at £1975 which included using a magna cleanse to flush through system.
Got told someone priced same boiler at 200 cheaper . Spent a while explaining to customer that its important the next day is spent cleaning the system.

Still never got it lol.

I've asked the guy to let me know what price I was competing against, I'll update if he comes back to me.

Ive done a couple of Worcester 30si combis recently with a Worcester filter and Worcester wireless stat for around £2400+vat

Labour cost is one thing then you have material mark up, guy I know adds at least £100 on any any boiler he supplies then another £100 on all fittings, magnaclean and controls.

You guys think its better to dress up your profit in material cost as well or just be honest, have higher labour and material price that reflects what customers can pay to buy themselves?

Ive operated the same way for nearly 26 years so something I am doing is right. Labour charge and material charge plus everything else is all about what service you can provide.
