To get the clutch repaired on my drill was £120, it was a no brainer really !

this one £70?

do you find it a bit heavy, and can you core with it, whats the clutch like?

It is heavy, noticed that.

My mate got one, he's used it loads for core hold said its been great.

ive used it once, it is heavy though ! Thank god it drilled the hole very quick !

i have the 5kg one, nearly broke my jaw coring a 40mm through a garage...you sure its got a clutch?

I don't think it has ?

i just had it on hammer an drill, chisel was on the other switch an I think drill on the handle ?

as I said I just flew through the core in no more than 5 minutes, here's me made up thinking I've got a bargain when I've really just got an sds drill that by the sounds of it will snap me arm in 2 !

My mate reckons it defo has a clutch ? Haven't had chance to look at it.

gas, not sure. I've had it for years, about £250 quid it was moons ago, it's been in the repair place for ages now

Think i'd have had the makita fixed, not had good experience with Titan stuff, think it may be the same quality as Ferm, having said that i've just replaced mine with a Sparky drill so we'll see if my wrist suffers !!

Best place for repairs in northern hemisphere is buck and Hickman. My bosh ghb 5kg been fixed a few times , for peanuts. Titan isn't a high end drill... U know that when u pay less than £100 for it. But you can abuse it and not have tears in your eyes! Aid it breaks screw fix swap same day if in stock. I find clutch clicks way too easily. Drill a lot of 28 & 32mm holes through thick walls 600mm plus and after about 100mm titan starts to click and you have to wrestle for the next few 100. Bosh drills first 300 then has a tizz.

The lack of clutch or poor quality of clutch makes these a no no unless you are very brave. If money is tight buy a quality second hand item. Look at what the hire places hire out as these are bullet proof. A few years ago I nearly broke my wrist with one of these screwfix bargains. It is so not worth it as the week I lost would have bought me a very good second hand Hilti with a full service.

they have to have clutches my kango 637 has a very good one thankfully imagine something the size of that getting stuck forget your wrist, that would rip your arm off
