One of my radiators was stone cold so we've bled the radiator and it was still cold. I've took the trv off and the pin was down, as per some other posts I wiggled the pin and it came up a bit and the radiator started to heat up. Brilliant, however the pin doesn't move freely, it's either up or down and when it's down it stays down.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

It does move up and down but it doesn't spring up you have to pull it up.
sounds like you may need to change the valve some are more prone to stick than others if teh pin is not free moving try a little bit of oil into the pin so it lubrictaes the pin in the hole. i have always found that stuck pins are better if gently tapped on top to release them than wiggling or pulling with pliers.

The simple answer Laura is get them replaced they don't last forever and Chance's are they will play you up again , a spray of wd 40 and a tap with a hammer on the pin can work but it sounds yours are to far gone now . Kop
