Trvs horizontally, locksheilds?

I want to fit some trvs horizontally. Can you also with the locksheilds that way?

If they're 15mm both ends then I can't see an issue.

They are yes. I want the trvs horizontally. Thought it may look more in keeping if the locksheilds are too

That's exactly what I've done in the past, much better visually.

Can most trvs be mounted horizontally? Or do I need to check with manufacturer

In theory, it is better to mount TRVs horizontally so the head is not directly above hot pipework and so gets a better sample the room air temperature. On the other hand, a horizontal head is more vulnerable to damage by being bashed by the occupants.

In practice, TRV's are not exactly precision devices regardless of whether they are horizontal or vertical.
