unvented mains pressure hot water system to cold

hi guys my sisters new build style house has an unvented mains preaure hot water system, we are having some problems with the water not getting hot enough and as i am new to this system was looking for some advice as to what could be causing this problem. any advice is greatly appreciated as i have just fitted a new bathroom for her and her family cant enjoy a nice hot bath

What make of cylinder is it? Is it direct or indirect?

Maybe turn up the thermostat!

the thermostat is up its an indirect but the cylinder has no name on it

Have you drained the heating system at all?

iv moved the tank into the loft but the watter was never that hot before

If it's an unvented cylinder you shouldn't be touching it unless you've got a a G3 ticket. If it is unvented you'd do well to get someone registered in to check it over. As it's a new build it may be a thermal store though. Do you have any pictures?

I agree with Mike, it is unlikely to be an open vented system on a new build and the tank in the loft is probably for a thermal store.

Have you vented the coil on the cylinder?

nope how do i go about doing that?
