Vaillant Question ...

hi lads,

I was wondering if anyone of you has ever installed a system boiler along with Vaillant smart thermostatic radiator valves?

I am asking as I would like to know how efficient it works and controllers I would need.

I was thinking of installing a green IQ 627 along with a uniSTORE indirect cylinder and those ambisense valves.

Perhaps @Harvest Fields @king of pipes @scott_d @AMGasServices @ShaunCorbs @Riley could give some help.

Is there anyth8ng else I would need apart from the boiler, cylinder, ambisense valves, vrc 700f

Customer would like to be able to control each room separately.

Any advise would be appreciated

I just found out I would need the vrc 700, vr 920 gateway, but if you had two rads in the same room you would need a different thermostat again. Obviously vr10 from the uniSTORE to the boiler.

If Vaillant controls are installed correctly and working well they are very good from a technical point of view.

However, I find that customers struggle to understand and operate them.

I wish they would get their act together on this one and make them more end user friendly.

Thank you both @scott_d @Last Plumber for giving me some advise.

I definitely agree with op not understanding the controls perfectly. I think in general the boiler plus - smart controls are difficult for ops to understand. As many have said earlier an elderly person wants either on or off and not having to control it via smart controls.

Vaillant do a perfectly good on/off mate but you have to fit the weather compensation.

Has to be wired though mate. Done a few recently that have had the original stat and timer removed and replaced with wireless, it would have been an absolute nightmare to rerun the cable and easier to fit weather comp
