Evening all.

I've got the wickes wet vac and when I use it to suck up water, it's blowing it strait out the blow side and on the customers carpet. Has this happened to any of you guys and could you fix it? Thanks, Mitchell.

yeah i've got the wet/dry filter that you can buy for it. only had it about 5 months

Yes mate, had exactly this, I've had three Wickes Wet N dry's and they've all ended up doing it to a certain extent.

I've changed makes now, after I killed the last Wickes one. The others are still working but can't use em cos of the above issue. Saving them for a really gross, use N throw away job!

Surely if its a gross job you wouldn't want to s
Pray it round the customers house!

I'll bare this in mind as I bought one a couple of months ago but only used it a handful of times, seems good for the price though.

I have the erbauer wet vac, has the same issue as of today, could have thrown it a mile! Might look at one of the henry styled wet vacs now 🙁

Wouldn't use it in a house!! LOL.

One of them isn't spraying, but it bubbles up from around the rim of the lid. Hard to explain. The other one fires out a mixture of blown air and water vapour.

To be perfectly honest, they'll probably just sit in the lock up for the next 20 years, and then I'll throw them in the bin.

get a george, wet n dry and allows you to wet vac the carpets if you really cock up!, but they arent cheap but they do work.

I just bought a Karcher that is doing this! it dribbles water all down the side of itself, luckily it was in a tiled bathroom when I discovered this!

My Karcher did this and I was told that the limit switch had gone. This switches off the suction when the machine is full of water. I bought a Nilfisk and it's been much better.

Had the same problem with my earlex combi vac same as wicks 1 on the 2nd and its just started playing up I always sit it on sheets and put a sheet on it to stop it spraying dirty water!!

Hi Mitchell
Have the same piece of kit and it has happened to me( I had the squeaky bum moment as well with the cream carpet) funnily enough I found the answer was to take the filter out on wet jobs, never been a problem since, hope tho helps
Bob

The Wickes one has trouble with the wet and dry filter, take the hoover apart, leave outside to dry out as water gets stuck in system and get the wet filter not the combined filter, this should stop it. Oh and another tip is to empty it as much as possible as mine does it when full, which is a pain when you have a lot of water, valve wont turn off and you turn around to see water all over the kitchen floor, luckily never happened on carpet yet!!
