I have a insurance job to try and rescue a poorly installed quad shower the customer wants to save the tiling if possible and has a few spare so fingers crossed it may work , the loss adjuster allowed em £1500 that will just about cover materials. Kop

What is the building?

It's a big house, ASHP, UFH & 5 bathrooms. The client owns a HVAC wholesalers so are supplying all the gear, they seem quite happy to give me whatever I want to install!

Didn't quite make it but it's usable and my Son Granddaughter and his wife are now staying with us for a long weekend glad of the rest now 😉 Kop

Little kitchen back splash. Nothing but hassle. Between sparks and plaster it's well screwed.

Boxes sticking too far out the wall. No rubber grommets. Not enough cable to get the tile behind properly. Pulled socket away from wall and live and earth pop out knocking cooker hood lights off.

Sick as a chuff.

From the photo, the cable seems long enough, but they haven't trimmed the sheathing, so it's all very tight.

The irony is that you are being responsible in not wanting to meddle with the wiring as you aren't a sparkie, but whoever wired that rubbish was quite happy to leave it like that. Nice cheap sockets too?

Aye bad photo from me it's the fused spur in bottom corner of first pic.

Here it is with the tiles just in behind.

Apparently sparky was a "friend" of the customer.

Only 19mm. The cooker socket is only wired in 2.5mm.

And the week gets better. Vanity wc and basin out. Move basin and centre the wc.
Course theres tiles behind vanity says customer.
Oh no there isnt.

On the plus side the new wc centres itself 🤣🤣

It's a double snake. 2 pushed into each other, with an uphill climb.

It's a roper Rhodes dual event concealed shower with bath filler so no taps on the bath Jim bit tricky needs to be 85mm in the wall doesn't leave much to get it securely fitted but it's doable . Regards Wayne 😉👍
