Hi there

Just had the above boiler fitted which is great but have the following issue and wonder if a) if its mormal and b) what is it ?

Approx every 30 mins the blue light on the front comes on for about 3 seconds and the boiler starts doing somthing. Your can hear only a small noise coming from the boiler and last for approx 3 mins. This happens when no CH or HW is called for and at the end of the process it finishes this cycle with an electronic/computer type of noise. Every time it happens it is consistant in noise and duration.

I noticed the ither day that the temp digital display drops gradually during the 3min it runs it runs for.

I have a Salus wirelss progrogrammer and thermostat that I have turned to the off position on the boiler to make sure its not a problem with this.

The engineer who installed it is currently on holidays and wonder if any of you could shed any light on the issue?

Thanks in advance for any advice offered

Don't work on a lot of Worcesters but on the panel of you boiler do you have a ECO button? I cant remember if this is supposed to be lit or unlit but basically it preheats the hot water in your plate heat exchanger so you have have hot water arriving quicker at your taps. So its fires up the boiler and cycles around the plate heat exchanger to keep the water hot. I think this is what you can hear.

If you look in the user manual, not the installation booklet it will tell you there about it in there.
