Hi I have a question about intermittent lock out on a Worcester ri

blue light mainly off with steady blue flash. re-set and it works fine then within a couple of days its gone off again.
any ideas on what can cause this?

diverter valve and pump are ok.

thanks

Was ok when I serviced it 3 months ago. Will check next time I go back. Normally they vibrate and make noises when they are out. This was ok when running on high and low.

Check the flame rectification and ignition electrodes, they tend to wear down on the greenstars. Could also check the condense trap and sump are clear too. Inlet working pressures, especially on these kind of boilers as they're usually installed on old gas pipework. I went to a Vaillant ecoTec Pro a few weeks ago where the inlet pressure was 1 mbar on max but the boiler was still lit. The old gas pipe must be blocked somehow.

But normally the co2 % gives this kind of problem.

You checked thrmisters? It electrode on top or front? Had a few with electrodes on front and the kebab it's in the service kit, if it's the one with electrodes at front check the rubber diaphragm as that gets tatty too.

I never remember worcester make or models. I try to erase them from my mind! However I'm fitting a couple over next week. DOH! Said I would never do this as dislike them that much but there are 22 houses each with same issue and not prepared to loose 22 jobs over it. WB seem to provide the best solution.... Unreal!
