On the old worcesters 28cdi non condesing boilers i notice they have a inspection screw cap on the flue elbow , is this to take a combustion reading even tho its non condesing or simply for inspect the inside of the flue ?

It most likely is H4S, got a picture? I thought the CDi's had a little red caped tube sticking out of the top of the casing?? Maybe a different boiler ... they become a blur after a while you know

Drink enough and everything is a blur !!:54:

lol ... Boilers have all merged into just a few catagories for me now ... old or condensing 🙂 Makes and models are like people and their names from long ago, I can recognise their face but it can take some time before their name comes to mind whereas some just stick 🙂

Same as me 2 catagories them that work & them that dont, customer usely identify's the make `It's white` ! so know witch one it is right-a-way lol :rolleyes4:

Nothing to do with your question, but if you ever have to drain one of these boilers down, do not risk using flow and return iso valves, when you turn them on again they very often leak through the spindle and you can't replace them because they come with the fitting jig.
