It took a while but he fitted his own bath today after 4 months with me. Took him all day but he is finally becoming handy!! Yesterday he helped me fit 2 jobs in on a day I only expected to get one done.

After 5 rubbish apprentices before that didn't last a week I am really chuffed that I finally have someone useful. Hope it stays that way!

The plasterer I use wants to steal him but luckily I have convinced him that plumbing is the master trade 🙂

Just be sure to tap him back to earth when he lifts off. If he gets too far up he's away and will hit ground hard when it all goes bad and wants to come back.

Dropped him an extra £20 yesterday for helping me to fit in a 2nd job. He doesn't have much confidence to be honest which is quite sad to see actually! Just noticed on his college file he has put down that he wants to be a full-time plumber in 5 years time, no mention of wanting to run his own business. I might have found a keeper!
