I recently purchased a hive active heating. I currently have a Honeywell cm900 thermostat wired to my Worcester boiler. I'm just looking for advice as to how to wire the hive receiver which has the live, neutral, earth and 1,2,3,4. Please see pic of the Honeywell receiver. Just to add, there is an isolator switch at the side of the receiver.

That’s unusual, I’m wondering if the second L is connected to A at some point? The 2 switching wires are Grey to Common (1 on Hive) and Black to NO (3 on Hive). L and N are straightforward and you can leave earth as is or park in Hive.

Do you have any test equipment?

Thank you for your reply.
So I'm assuming that one L is coming from the boiler and the other from the isolator switch, both of these go in the L on the hive?
No I don't really have any testing equipment. Never needed but think I will do now owning my own house.

Unless you can trace the wiring, the need I’d recommend something to test, you don’t want to kill anything, including yourself.

I’m guessing they’ve passed the boiler live neutral through as well from the isolator

So you should have a 3 core cable and a 5 core cable in there

So lives, neutrals and earth in the nest same as old

A -2 on the nest
B-3 on the nest

Yes three wire from the isolator and five coming from the boiler.
I noticed you mention nest but this is a hive, not sure if that makes a difference?
Number 2 on the hive is heating on, number 3 is heating off. So is nothing connected to common? I only ask as I was told to connect to 1and 3.

Thanks for everyone's help. Hive is installed and working. Only thing I want to do now is extend the wire from the isolator and reduce the conduit to give more wire, all which I'll do when I buy cable. I just find the wiring a little tight due to the Honeywell having cable access via the sides but the hive is only from the bottom. Thanks again.
