Well, it's centrica who will be doing the install. If they fcuk it up I'll turn off their anti virus as they are a big customer of mine 😀

So. All the quotes are in.

Mr Local number 1 = £2600
BG = £2200
Mr Local number 3 = £1790
Mr local number 4 (Who actually moved my gas cooker and I didn't recognise him) = £1700/1800

I'm going with number 4 as he was recommended by a friend, didn't try to pull the wool over my eyes with bull arguments around you need this and this and this.....

Fitting a glowworm the prices should tumble 🙁
and rating it up to 3o kw is going to cut nicely into thier homecare cover profit even more

fair play to you smoggs, was it you who was on about Bg cutting down on management ,getting the engineers to quote etc etc?, they will either put me out of work or go bust.
Looks like the days of me putting a quote in a after a BG visit and getting my arm ripped off are over🙁.

it was yes, it's not all it promised though!! if it's not a straight boiler swap it's business as usual!! i.e 4 grand for a full system (6rads and a boiler)
