Has anyone tried the plug in programmable wireless room stat from SALUS for both WB (ST620WBC) and Vaillant ecotec (ST620VBC) combi boilers at a fraction of the cost of their own offerings.
Had a Honeywell T6360 stat fitted a few days ago. It's working OK, but the problem is that it's not turning on and off at desired temperature according to stat. To obtain the desired temp I have to set the stat at 5 degrees lower. So for a temp of 21, I have to set the stat at 16.
Has anyone...
What is the reason they give a minimum recommended room size? Are there any dangers involved in putting in a room that's smaller than recommended?
This sort of thing

How do I calculate the correct radiator size to heat a room?
There must be a formula somewhere even if its only rule of thumb ?
Our current radiator is taking 4-5 hours to heat the room up to about 20C
This seems excessive to me.
The radiator does get hot and has been bled - no cold patches...
Good afternoon
I have 10 radiators running off my Ecotec Plus 360 system boiler. I am looking to add another rad to a bedroom so there are 2 as the one on its own is not enough. I believe the boiler should be big enough as another website said it can take 10 -14 rads.
Its a real pain as I will...
The tower thermostat on my daughters central heating does not switch off when set temp is reached but if turned to 0 it turns off so I would like to change it to a Corgi STTRS1-C. The Tower thermostat is wired up with two wires, common and call, am I right in thinking the common goes to number...
Hi all,
I’m looking to change my room thermostat - it’s currently an old type as pictured below, which is positioned in a draughty hallway which is no good what so ever. I need a thermostat in my living room instead where we spend most of our time.
Is it easy to disconnect the existing - no...

Hi,
Our house has two central heating zones: the living room which has a programmable thermostat, and the rest of the house that has a simple dial (Honeywell) in the hall (it will be 10 years old).
We have the heating on continuous and use the thermostats to turn it on and off.
I have noticed...
A friend has a Honeywell T6360 roomstat. On turning the knob to say 20°C to call for heat, heating starts but doesn't satisfy the stat till way too high, at least 25°C. I found the neutral to the accelerator hadn't been connected, wired that up and expected a cure, but not noticeably better. I...

Anyone fitted one of these or similar? :

Hi, We have moved to a house that has a Greenstar 37CDi combi gas boiler. This has a Worcester Digistat Optimizer wireless room stat.
To be honest I cannot work the thing however long I study the book.
Is there a simpler, compatable wireless unit I can install for this boiler by another...

I have a very old Sundial Wiring Centre box on a Y-Plan CH system. It currently does not have the room thermostat connected to it but terminal 1 and 3 in the wiring centre's room stat block are linked by a single wire as instructed in the documentation for the Sundial Wiring Centre.
However...
We live in a 2 bedroom detached bungalow with a Vaillant Eco Tec Pro 28 combi and a Honeywell cm907 two wire thermostat. The whole installation is 5 years old, and now the lcd display on the stat is loosing pixels. Having looked on the internet I can see this is a common problem and there are...
on Friday I had the hot water cylinder replaced as there was a leak in the old coil. On completion plumber asked me to use programmable room thermostat, Vaillant VRT360f, that is WI-FI connected to VR65 Control Centre to heat water. Boiler fired up and port valve opened, all good but after...
Probably been assked before but cannot see where so here goes again. I have a few rooms with twin radiators and am wondering is it prudent to bit both with a trv or just the one of them. Distances between rads obviously depend on room sizes but range from say 5m to 10m.

Guys , I am not sure on this one , can anybody please clarify ...
Do we have to do a extra assessment on how to do a CO room safety test ?
