I am moving my kitchen from the fronnt of the house to the rear. This means the sink will be 7.5m directly behind where it is now. It originally drained into a sump/hopper which connected to the main drain by 110mm pipe.

I dont want to fit any pump if I can help it. There will be a sink and a dishwasher supplying this pipe. There are two courses of bricks between inner floor level and top of sump/drain at the front of the house 7.5 meters away.

Any sugestions?

Pipe will have to fall quite a lot if your going to extend it. Maybe put a larger pipe in. Also air admittance valve may be needed. You will just have to watch what goes down the sink so not to block it

50mm pipe maximum length 4m for an unvented waste. Refer to Part H Building Regulations.

Thanks IMO, agree with you, Useful to know how far to run waste before venting is required?

Gentlemen,
Thank you for your assistance.

As you have probably guessed; I am not a plumber and need some significant guidance!!

Thank you Reg Man. Can you tell me how long for a vented pipe please?
As far as I know maximum length is not specified. You can view Part H building regulations doc online for free on goverment DCLG website.

Create a branch drain 100mm and terminate it under sink as an unventilated stub stack - no need for ventilation.

Terminate sink and dish washer waste into stub stack.

Not so sure about new part H, but it used to be 9m of unventilated 100mm pipe for a branch drain.

You will have to notify local building control, but few do.

My kitchen sink has dish washer and washing machine connected to a spigot and makes a gurgling sound every time when its in use. The soil waste stack is about 4meters across the other side of the room. Im going to re pipe the waste pipe 2metres away from where it already is and get a washing machine trap with to spigot connectors one for the washing machine and for the dish washer and keep a separated trap only for my sink. Where would the best practice be to install a aav? Would it be after the kitchen trap or after the washing machine trap? Or I can get a aav build in for the kitchen trap?
