Having tried this twice before I know I'm probably not going to get very far here, but I don't believe in giving up so any gas men in the Sussex area please have a read. I've been plumbing for two and a half years now, I have my nvq2, as well as the tech cert 2 and 3, and have spent the last six months working for a heating engineer gaining experience and building my portfolio for ACS. The guy I've been working with has decided to call it a day, work being slow, and he is of an age and in a position to call a halt, so that's what he's doing.
Leaves me as an experienced plumber, with good skills and a good working knowledge of domestic systems with an unfinished portfolio, and to be honest also wishing to gain more experience with someone before I unleash myself onto customers as a gsr. Although I do turnover a fair bit of bathroom work off my own customers.
Now I know there are many good reasons for gsr's to ignore people like me, so what I'm offering is to come and do a couple of weeks free of charge, help in any way I can, to show you what I'm about, let you see my skill level, and get to know me a bit. Should you like me and think I can be useful to your business, then I will happily work for as little as £50 a day until I have built up a strong gas portfolio, and more importantly feel that I have gained enough experience to call myself an experienced, competent gsr. If after two weeks you decide I'm not what your looking for, no problem, we shake hands and I keep looking.
