Our shower currently only goes from hot to stinking hot and has been getting gradually worse. I've taken the valve out and cleaned it but to no avail. I think I have worked out that the balancer for the hot (I think that's the right term?!) needs adjusting. I have attached a picture of the set up.
My assumption is that I needed to reduce the amount of hot water coming in, so have tried to adjust that inlet on the left however I think it's stuck and the metal is pretty soft so even my 15 year old basic wilko flat head screwdriver is too much for it. I've tried some wd40 on it but it won't budge so I'm thinking if I can just unscrew it and replace it, that should fix it. But what's it called?! I've tried searching for thermostatic shower valve balancer and things like that but cannot seem to find the right thing anywhere.
