Hi All

I'm only a DIY'er, I have always had air in my system, I thought it was the result of the 20 year old Glow Worm boiler and corrosion from that. During the summer I had a new Atag boiler fitted by one of their recognised fitters. Really pleased with the boiler but still seem to be getting air in the system. Some of it might be down to dirt (magnetite) in the system there is a Addey magnetic filter that I had installed on the return before the boiler some time ago and that is still collecting magnetite. I've been reading a few articles mainly from Spirotech about the advantages of a microbubble dearator. I would be interested in your views.

Many thanks

The air problem needs resolving before fitting a deaerator you could try connecting the cold feed into the vent failing that seal the system. Kop

As suggested, seriously condsider sealing your system as it should resolve all your air ingress issues.
