Looked at a basin where the mixer taps were fitted with the pop up waste bar to the front. I know this is wrong.

Underneath, where the bar goes into the waste secured by the cap, there is like a white ball that should fit into where the cap screws on. Well, the white ball doesn't go into the end thus the cap cannot be screwed in thus when the taps are turned on water literally pours out if this.

If the tap is turned around, i.e. The pop up lever to the rear, will this solve the issue?

It's a funny one I can't get my head around.

Cheers

Might get you closer to the waste trap enabling you to get the ball joint in properly

I'm with the above. Get rid and fit a good quality click/clack waste.

if your in a bad mood, you could fit a flipping waste! And if that is too tight, file it down with a ******* file!
