I am amateur DIYer. I have a concealed cistern with push buttons to the front face. Buttons are connected by 2 air tubes which connect to either side of the siphon. Small flush works fine but big flush button just makes a click type of noise around the syphon area. seems to be coming from the rear of the syphon but cannot access area to see. Air pipes are connected. I dont want to dismantle the whole thing if there is no need. Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

It could be a Thomas dudley, can u see if flush valve is green.
Inside the top lid of these there is a little plastic piece that lifts the bellows, this often needs clicked back in.

Try blowing down hoses this will test if bellows in button are punctured.

Alanc Thanks for the quick reply. The initials TD are on the unit , so you must be right. The siphon is green and the bellows inside white. I cannot see any other little piece of plastic inside the top plastic lid. I am probably not looking in right place. If I blow down one hose - nothing happens. The other hose makes the same click.

So can u access the valve
Did you take off the cover of the valve, look for a hinged piece of a plastic, these often disconnect from holder thingy.
If u determine whether the bellows are punctured then a service kit would be cheaper than replacing whole valve.

I thought it was all one unit. I can see the problem now. The plastic open clip that the bellow lid is hinged on is cracked and not hold in insitu. Can I purchase the syphon/valve seperately or do to but a complete cistern.
