Today I have been to said boiler and when running the tap or central heating the f5 fault pops up.
THis happens after a minute or do. I took the combustion case of and ran thd tap again and it worked with no fault. Put the case back on and it gave me the f5 fault. Didn't have much time to start looking proper but I'm guessing blocked fan venturi.

Has anyone had this problem, can anyone make thus one a bit of an easy Tuesday morning for me.

Cheers

Okay, sorted thus out now. Turns out it was the rubber collar that connects the flue inside the boiler had slipped up blocking the air intake hence only working when the casing was off. Repositioned the seal and serviced the boiler including removal of the fan and gave it a clean. Works fine now.
