Oh and thanks to all who replied, this is a fab site but hopefully dont need to use it again for a long long time!

i looked at one today, took of top flue blank and she stayed lit, same as opening cover slightly. i thought straight away aps or venturi had gone. changed venturi and with no change, going to replace aps. nearly 100 % sure itll work. why the need for all this pcb talk. have i missed something

if it goes to lock out straight away prior to attempting ignition id say 88 degree stat. if boiler lights on hot water but goes out after a few seconds try removing ash tray at top of boiler if this stays on you will find its the fan.you can elliminate aps by trying heating first. if the heatings ok the fan is cause it is not getting the speed it requires for h/w. oh if youve replaced board try setting minimum maximum pressures on board /gas valve.

Hi I have been working on an 80e and have a similar problem. I bought the venturis, changed the red one but couldn't see were the white one went as it was missing. I did fine it later laying on the floor in 2 bits. Looks like someone has been at it before. The manual gives no indication of where either of them are situated. I think it goes on the base under the chamber?
thanks
