Just fitted a new bath and shower taps.Used push fittings, the bath taps work fine however the sink cold tap is running at a trickle and the toilet is very slow to fill. Any ideas what ive done wrong. The order in the bathroom is BATH SINK TOILET
thanks

Hi I am a real novice it dont look kinked the push fits seem ok , will check underneath tomoz ty russ

Double check all your pipework. Did you use flexi's? If so arc they kinked? ISO valves fully opened? Is the problem on hot, cold or both?

If you drained the cold water off when doing the job, it may be dirt from the tank has come down the pipe's and on reaching the smaller bore of the basin and toilet inlet, its become blocked. If you've put isolation valves in before basin tap's. You could remove pipe above then connect a hose to check flow

make sure the taps you fitted are for low pressure if your water is coming from a tank in the loft or a hot water cylinder. if high pressure taps are used water wont be able to flow threw them.

Good point Wigz, hadnt thought of that!

Thanks all A MATE has had a look and took the pipe off and will return tomorrow with some sort of tool to poke down the pipe,i suggested cut the pipe just after the bath taps re route using new pipe and push fits to toilet and handbasin
thanks all for the replies

Well we re routed the pipe, the toilet is now working and flushing fine, however the tap on the basin (COLD) runs with very little flow.the previous tenant said there was no prob, my mate said the flexi pipe going to the cold tap is narrow 10mm and thinks making it a 15mm will solve the issue i am not convinced and think it must be something else.any thoughts appreciated russ

Very much doubt if this will make any difference mate. Have you tried disconnecting the flexing to the tap and seeing if it runs into a bucket eliminating the tap itself? If you still have no flow its not gonna be the flexi. Don't know what else to suggest except logically tracing it back to a point you know is fine and then repipe from there?

Is it an open vented system? Did you have to drain the tank down to isolate the supply? Maybe a bit of muck/insulation has lodged itself in the pipework. If it is open vented maybe you could try linking the cold service to the main and blasting it out?
