Ok well since its been a year since I've been doing gas work and I've been doing mind numbing labouring jobs and having crazy parties I'm not very up to date with the regs....

but anyway, flues in voids for existing boilers with no inspection doors.....is it AR? or ID? I was thinking AR but my workmate was thinking more along the lines of NCS???

I know I could probably find the answer on the GS website or whatever, but I prefer to post on this site and talk to fellow engineers

the tbs are on the gsr site and worth reading for a full and complete explanation of where you stand

I thought I posted this in the private forum, oh well.....

Well mate I've just started a job last week and not even got my GS card yet my number is written on my gas safety certificate book which is in the lads van, and do you get access into the GS website as an employee? I'm not quite sure as when I did I was on my own GS registration.

It is classed as At Risk as you can not examine the flue.

all info here~

Bumped into the baxi rep in pts and he was bigging up their co monitor system and i said to him that i believed on new installs hatches would still be required even with the system, he didnt think this was correct but have read tb008 and i still think im correct. By the way the co set didnt look bad and seemed a quite reasonable price.

Gerry if you are an employee you need to get a log in from the company so that you can get on the technical section rather than their full account
