Been doing a oil boiler swap and was back today finishing off outside in the dry. Anyway, I'd put 'price excludes removal of waste' so cust was taking all the packaging to the tip and did a couple of trips. I had the old boiler stood outside with the old pump, flue and burner. She says that she's organised somebody to come and shift it, not a bother as not a lot in it and I'd already removed all the brass and copper anyway. So the lad turns up and I'm outside pointing up some old holes, just using the last of my muck up. The haggle over the price and settled on £18. Better than a poke in the eye with a crappy stick. So the lad is chucking all the odds and sods onto the back of the pick up. 'Here mate' he shouts 'give us a lift'. I had a little laugh and shouts 'what with'. 'I need a hand to get the boiler on the back'. I had a bit more of a laugh. 'No, busy'. Well the air was blue not a happy monkey. I laughed a lot more, picked up my mash hammer and walked across. After I asked him what sort of muppet comes to pick up an old oil boiler on his own, he managed to get the boiler in the back without any help. Four foot snake, it was only an old danesmoor, less than 100kg. Made my morning though. 🙂 Little things and all that 🙂

Things that get you through the day hey lol

I'd love to see his face when he gets a terrible price at the scrap yard and asks why, "well mate all the expensive stuff has been taken off!"
