heatline vizo 24/28 no hot water

hi i have a heatline vizo 24/28 the ch works fine but when i switch the hot water tap on the temperature gauge goes straight up to full (all leds on) and doesnt start for hot water, just wondering if anyone has had this problem as an engineer will cost loads and i would like to know what it is before i call someone

Could be flow sensor or hot water sensor. Is the diverter valve operating? Really need a GSE for this.
What area are you, someone on here could help to test and repair.

You say all red leds have lit up. Are any flashing. This can indicate where fault lies, as the vizo has built in diagnosis.

Also, whilst the heating is running, open up a hot tap. Does this now give you hot water at the tap?

there is no flashing lights, when the hot water tap is on it jumps straight to all leds on solid, like its at full temp so it doesnt fire up, when the heating is on the hot water tap runs hot for a few seconds then just goes ice cold, i was thinking its something to do with maybe a temperature sensor telling the boiler its at max heat so not firing up

oh and i dont know if the diverter valve is opening as i dont know what it is or how to check it?

It sounds like hot water thermister. If your not confidant, post your area and someone can PM you.

do they have seperate thermisters for the hot water and the central heating?

Yes. Two sensors.
Wait a while and Im sure someone could help in your area. Thermisters are not expensive.
