Hi, I have just had an Ideal Isar HE 30 boiler fitted. Everything is fine with the hot water, but I can't seem to turn the central heating off.

The boiler displays 'C' all the time, and the burner light is flashing.

The only way I can get the radiators cold is to turn them right down to number 1.

The heating is set to minimum on the dial but still seems to be on?

I do not have a thermostat, is this why? I only have the dial controls on the boiler which are minimum and maximum.
Please help...I dont not fancy a sky high gas bill before xmas!!

Thanks in advance!

typical isar, broke down already.
another month it will be on constant all the time anyway if its like last year.

isar?. then again.

Or the solution may be the customer was the idiot with setting incorrectly.

Always too quick to blame an engineer on here.

I had a cracker yesterday, worcester 350, usual story hot water but no heating, 'It's your ironing board' I told her, 'what are you talking about?' she asked with an expression on her face that said 'oh no, not another cowboy!' Anyway, the programmer was tucked away in her storage cupboard and the said ironing board had flipped the switch to off, she did make an exceptional cup of tea though:26:
