high winds

just got down off roof (bungalow) tv aerial blown down, now just noticed boiler keeps cutting out ? can high winds effect boiler flue operation

well its a worcester 25si combi boiler just a standard flue as far as i know rises from boiler in hall store through ceiling and then through roof

Firstly ,think you are crazy getting on roof in this weather,we could of kept you up to date with the soaps

and yes ,winds this strong can have a effect on the boiler operation via flue but flue joints should also be checked on vertical flues in case not supported correctly for these conditions or items can be blow onto flue causing damage to terminal ect

make sure none of the joints have came out the boiler has a safety device to make sure that the boilers air intake is good, if a fitting has came out ( with the wind ) because its non supported it could be causing a flue fault

Nooooooooooooooooooooo! First day back and it's an external combi. Better dig out the waterproofs and my tarpaulin. Few spare lengths of 15 copper and I'll have meself a tent.

some tiles came off the roof, sky satellite i think is became loose and now always lose signal when wind picks up, alot of trees nearby have been split in 2(stay next to a park, not even ripped out the ground) after all the panic from hurricane bawbag, which imho was nothing compared to the storm the other night.

Went out last night.

Through a large puddle ... slowed down when the headlights couldn't see through the bow wave ...

My wife went out around 10 minutes after me. She thought she'd better slow up a little when the water nearly came over the bonnet (large 4x4).

Going out again tonight - in a speed boat.

Wondered why I woke up this morning with a set of Michelin tyre print jim jams on.......must of been sleep walking.......often happens ,folk get confused about it being dangerous to wake me or break for me........probably wasn't the bow wave but me bot cave you couldn't see through.......thought they were strange looking skid marks
