hi guys its hurdy.:waving: well i have had quite a good week,feeling at ease with the world,things are quite good at the moment,be it work or home life,a friend at work i was talking to a week ago ,was telling me about a world war 2 pilot from sheffield,who had died,and had no one to attend his funiral, i said if you like i will go with you to make up the numbers,that was friday just gone,the pilot who flew night fighters in burma was called george thompson who has sadley passed.he had no children or living relatives,which was sad to hear.so the right thing had to be done,someone had to attend,some how this had hit the media , so when we got there we were amazed to find a full turn out by the armed forces,air force , navy,army both regular cadets,from all servises lots,of people from sheffield,and those from the home in which george was living,the staff who looked after him.they had found out about him and attended in there hundreds, i would say there were about five hundred mourners,he got the full millatery funiral draped flag over his coffin,picture of him in uniform,and his servise cap,as well as the last post,how i did not cry i dont know,it was hard, but many did,so my faith in people,has been restored, as only the british people would do such a thing.any ways guys i thought i would tell you as it is such agood story,i will remember this forever,hope you all have a good week,see you soon hurdy 😀
