The flue looks like its attached to that polystyrene packaging! Also what is the top part of the flue made of?!?

I'd guess that those scorch marks down by the flue at tthe bottom are from soldering! Albeit very bad soldering!!

Looking to the right, there are heat marks on the plasterboard, given the old Asbestos cement flue position it would be likey there was a floor standing boiler there before.
If so the heat mark low down could have been from out of the back of the old boiler.
 
shocking use of duct tape and expanding foam.............and its not even heat rated foam........shakes head in disbelief.
 
That is unbelievable!! How even a half brained DIYer could do that is beyond me. Must have a death wish. BTW, I have more than half a brain! :lol:

i think that installer has moved to scotland and started fitting rhino oil boilers just posted some pics looks the same high standards lol
 
ha this is a stinker just through acs assessments and regulations where drummed into us this just beggars belief some poor customer is going to have troubles ahead hope gas installer is proud of this one !
 
That's shocking and laughable at the same time. It's a bit like putting shopping trolley wheels on a Ferrari.
