One point of his argument was installation issue being that flues stick to far out the wall on many installs , fair point but i replied how does that break a flow turbine on a boiler 2 days old??

He contradicted himself on numerous issues and he should not been as defensive or argumentative either way.

You compare them to worcester and it is not even on the same planet l .

i dont live down there so cant comment.

Imo if the white is sticking out then it hasnt been fitted mi's so technically they can say no. I hate white sticking so i may be biased

Any manufacturer who offers a long warranty/ gurantee is going to want their pound of flesh. Even worcester aint gonna cover stuff thats not been fitted to manufacturers mi's and baxi are absolutely terrible for it for round here. And that statment is from experience.

Sure ideal ideals have their problems same as every other boiler out there.

It is what it is. Im still gonna fit em haters will hate. I hate worcesters like baxi but hate there support.

What do you boys think of Alpha, after reading hammers problems with my choice Ideal I bumped into the Alpha rep who obviously told me how great the product is, so just wondering what you boys thought?

I don't and never have favoured any make of boiler over another ! but would expect to get the same support & backup regardless of weather I only fitted one of a particular make or 500 ! In reply to clarky101 yes I've fitted Alpha's and not had any problems with them, Last 4 boilers I have fitted have been Vokera again works as well has any other boiler & does what its meant to do + reasonable price with 5 year warranty, its what customer wants so they are happy, Next week I may be fitting a Baxi/Ideal who cares not me its what customer wants !!

Fitted alphas and have one in own home .
I like the fact they are small and fit in kitchen cupboards easily.

this post rreminds me about the poor old woman who lost her warantee after 2 years on a logic+ because a flue clip needed adding to the verticle run!!

i had a lot of interest from them about it but they never got back!!!
