Does anyone use one of these I used to use the Anton spint but now have the Kane 455. Had to use it for a tightness test as needed to leave proof of a passed test but when I did it the gauge was all over the place then once i finally got the gauge set and started the test it went ballistic! I did five tests one as set by Kane then I changed to a dampened response then high/low resolve and got a different outcome every time some times the let by was up then it was down then it passed but the tightness was all over the place. At its worst there was a 4 mbar difference yet use the water gauge and everything was fine doubting my self I turned it of sat in the van had a cuppa and tried again with the wet gauge and perfect again. So my question is this am I missing something or is my 2 day old analyser an expensive paper weight? I appreciate it's not the best but had read some great reviews on them

i do tightness with a Kane 455 they are sensitive but i only find the second number after the decimal place moves up and down what do you mean by dampened response
and high/low resolution?

normally if proof of tightness test is needed i use a cert with boxes on to put in details of tightness test, or write it in comments box.

i never use the kane or any digital u gauge for tightness tests as they tend to be too sensitive and just bounce about.

Dampened response slows down the numbers after the decimal so it's not overly sensitive and high low resolve moves the decimal. Just couldnt get it stable. Might call Kane in the morro after I've tried it at home to see what happens

think that's your best bet, i quite like mine actually but i only stated using it cos i left my manometer at a customers

If you print out a test is dosent really prove anything anyway? Whats to say you havent altered the date and time on the analyser or tested what you say youve tested?
