well nearly 3 weeks ago i got my 110,its got its bad points the turning circle of the QE2,and sounds like a lorry, cabs small:wink:
however it has lots of good points,it will literally go anywhere and do anything, nothing gets in its way what a awesome working tool, its good on diesel as well considering its size its returning 36-7 mpg on a run,30 around town top speed is 85 mph at a push, driving takes some getting used to its not a car,its a tank:tongue:and sounds like one as well but i have the cd player on so dont notice, one thing worth considering while parts and maintenance may work out cheaper on a defender they are the number 1 vehicle to get stolen in the country next to the transit in second place so security needs beefing up,mot on mine is a class 7 as its a van and laden weight is 3.5 ton, bods and redsaws however because it has seats and a window is a class 4 car mot, have i made the right choice? absolutely i hope i have my 110 for many years, its going to be painted blue in the summer and tidied up it looks good as it is but a fresh paint job wont hurt,i had to fit a step today as my lad fell out of it last week dozy sod

Ha. I was just thinking about your landy earlier when i got this email

landrover.jpg

If you want the link i'll forward it to you Mark.

I'd love to have one but it would keep me awake at night thinking that the local scallies might be sniffing around because that's all they seem to drive where I live, they're all into off-roading and hunting. As much as I want one the probability of it being stolen for parts would give me sleepless nights.

Never thought I'd say this about a Landy, but well done!

Now please don't go on talking about it for the next 13,000 posts. :hand:

I don't think any amount of security would be enough to be honest, they'd just turn up with a trailer if they really wanted it.

Shame you can't have what you want these days for fear of someone else stealing it. Why do the local rats have to favour driving the one vehicle I'd really like?

I understand these good points about landrovers, like the ability to get about, nothing stops it etc etc.

but do you really need these features in a work van? I've got a berlingo and its never been stopped by the weather etc and I've always got my full days work in during bad weather.

Each to their own and all that, and if its what people want for work then that's great. But work wise I don't see how a landrover differs from a van to be honest.

Well done Mark ,

Most importent thing is that you are happy with it 🙂 It looks tidy , must say most of the landys i have seen were in a really bad condition

To me ,I can see the use of it in the extreme weather conditions but not a Van for every day ......

pedal covers and handbrake covers? What's going on?

Why don't they just make them properly and fit decent security measures on them?🙂
