Just hear from a plumber friend that on a sealed sstem he no longer fills with inhibitor as it increases the conductivity of water & hence corrosion! He fits a spirovent de-airestor instead which seems like a fancy micro bubble air vent!

Anyone else heard of this, surely some fernox added to a clean system is a better than just water??

VDI 2035 Facebook is buzzing on the viessmann followers ,, got to say a lot of interesting points , one thing us Scots up north have is immaculate water and no filtration or chemicals needed unless well supplies,

so does this installer take water samples for tests to prove the system is 100% pure tap water with nothing else?

most new rads are full of stuff that will increase the conductivity of water, many have rust, deposits etc.

veissmann prob also want you to use mapress etc..... we solder.

all press fittings, vdi test and fill. I have some video's explaining a bit on youtube. My page is under my own name, Mike Sammon.

Gladly I wouldn't fit a viessmann pile of poo anyway. Press fittings are a poor choice on normal domestic jobs unless there's a large fire risk.

Just stick some decent inhibitor in.
