Hi guys, anyone come across this one before?? Removed a gas fire from a living room 2 years ago and fitted a new valor for the customer in a bungalow. Flue flow test carried out and all good, terminal guard already in place and the new fire passes spillage test very well, air relief as manufacturer wants at bottom of closure and flue fits into existing chimney space (which is approx 600mm x400mm) prefabricated and not restricted in anyway, Also there is adequest ventilation of 100cm2.
Any hoo the fire puts sooty deposits inside its canopy and on the ceiling of the living room too. Contacterd valor and they say the 5 coals may be in wrong place so i moved them 5 mm forward and they say run fire on full rate for ten mins first. Anyone come across this sort of thing before??
Thanks for the feedback if any suggestions

Yep something aint right so have turned gas off to the appliance and asked valor to inspect the fire.
