I'm installing a built in gas fire (tv fire) manufactured by DRU it is a global 55cf.
Reading through the instructions about the spillage test. It states in the mi that to do the test you messuage the pressure rather than use a smoke match. Has any body done this before and what it the best thing to use. I can see a manometer being able to read 0.2 pascal's as it would be to small a reading to see. Has anybody installed this fire before . Cheers

Yes and it's a pita, digital manometer or your fga if it reads pressure.
Oh and be prepared to swear at it for the gas connection, it's 8mm onto the iso valve and you have to bend the pipe 45 and the use a small pair of grips and a 6" or smaller shifter.
Good luck
