Gizza Job,

Good CV if you want one, 45 pages, can't crawl under floors no more, go for the gear in van, got a B&Q trade card

Double whamy, nice to be old, free bus pass, half price rail fair.

Also two knackered knees and have to stay in close proximity of a toilet at all times. Not to mention the 'you boys don't even realise you were born' line on repeat 24/7 (excluding the times you fall asleep and face plant the dinner plate)

It's amazing how many poor engineers there are out there. I'm not the best and I certainly don't know everything buts it's embarrassing and shocking to see some of the "engineers" you see that can't do a tightness test/gas rate or understand basic principles and safe working let alone be able to fill in a cp12 correctly!

I am just a plumber pipe fitter but I now work for a smaller firm and get treated Very well
not just the money but my input is asked for and I feel respected and apreciated

i wanted to work for the owner of this company spent 18months pestering him got the chance when one of his top men left showed him photos of my work on my iPad took him to one of my jobs showed him around my little plant room

been working for him for six mouths now had a weeks holiday and got called back in after 3 day for a rush job came in for a big celint

was thanked and so was my partner was given a new 18volt sds to say thank you
for me it the little thing
I like to be apreciated and respected

But i walk into surpilers and there other blokes there stood up talking wasting the day
good engneers are hard to find but I do think that a good bloke can get ruined by a employer as well

just my thoughts

you can never do enought for a good boss or is it you can never do a good boss for enough?

i would like to saye I have worked for a few and

I LOVE MY JOB. NOW!

I'd like an employer like that swift.
Not asking for loads, but even a thank you for staying 3 hours late to finish off someone else's disaster would be nice. Guess that's what you get for working for a big firm. Your just an employee number to most people.

Maybe one day I'll pluck up the courage to go SE again, or work for a small family run business maybe things would be different.
