i always thought they were rust buckets,i bought one from new the 40th years special edition it had all the mod cons electric mirrors traction control heated windscreen fog lights you name it , it had it i looked after the van well had only done 68 thousand miles and it started to rust at the wheel arches van still felt and drove like new but i was very disappointed with the rust ,i now have a new vauxhall vivaro sportive and i am very happy so far although a little smaller inside, wont get a transit again until they improve on the rust issues.

Total rust buckets. Think they did better in warm countries with less rain? There were a lot of the 80s type hanging around in Portugal until recently, they were a horrible poo colour though, not white.

First car was a Ford Orion, later I had a Ford Focus First Generation, that was rusty as hell around the wheel arches, the engine actually blew on the motorway, it was a good runner until then though! Strangely enough neither of these incidents have put me off them, still have a Ford Focus Estate for family outings, also had the chance to drive a rental Ford Explorer on holiday, was unbelievably comfy.

I'm surprised tradesmen are still buying them after Ford seized production in the UK & now build them in Turkey!!

The whole 'back bone of Britain' slogan hardly applies anymore when they made all them redundant in Southampton & still expect us Brits to stay loyal to the brand!

I'm not sure why I'm moaning, I'm happy with my German vw lol!!
