Vaillant shafting installers....!!!

Well, a lot of Vaillant installers round my way, no longer instal vaillants. They have defected to other manufacturers, with a few going to Glow worm... (Funny as the two factories are on the same site lol)
Apparently the cause of the uproar has been several heating companies customers have contacted them with letters they have recieved off vaillant, saying basically

' your boiler is now over 5 (or 7) years old.. Did you know you could save money and get a more efficient one using our new technology? Call our install partners HELP LINK'

Basically, they have ignored any tickboxes on warranty forms (common place it seems) and are now actually trying to entice customers away from their own customer??? :6:

Well, it seems they have majorly shot themselves through the foot as a local big name merchants round here told me they sold 250 units a couple of months ago and last month they did less than 30.... So they have p*ssed off their main customers round here it seems.

Just wondering if anyone else has come across this, and if you haven't, beware..!

Just to add , Senior vaillant sales rep was contact/shouted at, by the boss of a firm that installs at least 40 vaillants a month, to see if it was true. The sales manager got back to him a week later and basically said 'yes, Im afraid it is, I think its a joke but its come from way above my head, sorry'

Negative vibes dude.
and I don't think your right, they have to charge a lot more than us independants. And if you've got a good reputation and get recomended, they trust you more than a corporation.
