Hi all, I'm just going about starting up on my own, and am looking about for a cheap van, but a few people have advised me to get an estate car as it will save on insurance, vat, etc. While I'm not to keen on this myself I wonder as anyone got any good advice.
Cheers 😕

I'm in same boat but I'm thinking small van.

It just looks more professional I reckon. My tutor at college said he used an estate towards the end of his career. But he was established, most customers from referral etc..

If you're new and in the business of getting a name for yourself I reckon you want to look like this is what you do full-time for a living. And a clean, well looked after van, even if a bit old and small, gives the right impression.

I currently use a car. If I can ever generate more than my average of 3 or 4 jobs a week I will get a van.
