Hi

i'm re doing my kitchen - and have run in to a small problem. I have to install an built in washing machine & dishwasher - but there is a 42mm waste pipe from the kitchen sink running behind them - resulting in insufficent space to push the fully back to align doors etc.

The house has a single stack which runs down in a pipe box in the kitchen, then under the floor in the kitchen to the front of the house.

There is a shower wc and basin connected to the stack upstairs.

Can i re route the the waste pipe from the sink - taking it down verticall through the floor and connect to the horizontal section of the stack under the floor?

Any advice would be appreciated - only other option I can think of - is using an oversize worktop (695mm) to give more space behind the units.

No reason not to drop it into the horizontal run as long as the connection is made properly. Sounds easier than mucking about chasing walls or building false walls.

thanks guys, the connection to the horizontal seems the easiest option, but i wasn't sure if it was 'permitted' or if it would cause any problems?
