Guys, supprised this hasn’t happened before ..
Went to a boiler breakdown this morning and found a BG At Risk sticker on the floor from 2 years ago ( flue in a carport )
Different problem now , so if I repair it , obviously nothings done with the flue ( looks like a nact pump ) do and can I repair a AR boiler and issue another AR notification .
Cheers in advance .

What would you do if you had not found the note?
You would have spotted the flue obviously, would you have issued a notice yourself?

BG continually repair boiler that are AR if you do not repair it mate he will just find someone that will. I would change the pump and issue a new Warning Notice. Make sure that you tell the customer that even if you repair the boiler you will have to issue an AR notice and switch the appliance off.

Yep that’s obviously whats going to happen , it just seems shi*e .

So I fix his boiler and then say thats £ ?? Sir , can I turn your boiler off now .
You have to cover your own a**e mate. I know it’s silly. The other option is to not fix it unless he changes the flue at the same time.

You would never get the parts, 15 year old Jaguar , and hes going to change it for a Viessmann this summer ( he doesnt know that yet though lol )
Then it’s up to you mate. Give him the price for a new one get him to sign that you will get the work and repair but AR it

Repair it and issue AR paperwork, the customer can refuse permission to turn off the appliance. As long as they sign the paperwork then you have done what is required.

Educate the dumb arse the stickers there for a reason surely your registration is worth more to you than one AR boiler repair , change the whole thing or walk away is my advice town . cheers kop

wouldn't even repair it... just issue a warning notice and switch off appliance? why repair it knowing you will just have to do your job and A.R it..
