Hi all first post on this site im working on a greenstar junior combi which i rarley work on, the heating is fine but the dhw is not the boiler does respond to the demand turbine operates and boiler fires but literley no heat at the taps, the central heating flow pipe is red hot so i was thinking diverter valve letting bye, power head does move up and down , but a call to worcester said plate to plate is problem causing this .i want to get this right first time so any help on which it is likely to would be appreciated.

if its going down htg then i would try diverter . very simple on the new boiler isolate boiler and drain -pull off diverter motor and then unscrew and remove the diverter paddle and try turning it 180 degrees as it could be damaged one side or manualy move the diverter and try boiler

ant

if the diverters opening to the flow there is only one thing that can cause that,a blocked plate heat exchanger sadly both parts may now need replacing

plate heat exchanger, had one the same and recommended powerflush as system full of sludge but custard probably thought i was trying to make a job for myself. cant wait for the call when it blocks again!!
