plastic inlet to metal fitting

We’re replacing a Heatrae Express7 over-sink water heater, like for like, except the inlet was 15m copper pipe but is plastic 13.5m on the new appliance into exactly the same 15m control valve.
Is the 15m metal control valve compatible?
