Every 1.2 m for horizontal copper pipe work and 1.8m for vertical drops

I normally do every 3ft / 90cm as I find it looks better

How far fist clip should be from soldered fitting? Can clips be placed every 300mm along run? Or its abit of overkill?

I would go 6”/150mm you can go closer if you wrap it with a wet cloth etc

And excess clips could cause expansion noise depending on how tight they are

Thanks Shaun, but what is the normal regs all plumbers follow? 150mm from fitting then next clip at 1200mm? As i have placed first and second clip at 120mm without any clips next to soldered fitting.

1200mm continue round the fitting

Eg 1000mm before the fitting then next clip 200mm after the fitting

As i have placed first and second clip at 120mm without any clips next to soldered fitting. So solution will be to add first clip 200mm after the fitting?

I t will be like that: 200mm first clip after fitting, second clip 1000mm from fist clip, third clip 1200mm from second clip.
