I was wondering this the other day. I think it's slow from what iv read about it.

4 minutes heat up time, then continious use, solder a 15mm tee in under a minute without a flame, looks good and not too slow and costs about £50

WORST PRODUCT EVER

i used this in a factory with no naked flames,

heads would damage easy

you have to buy 2 soldering irons if you want to do a 22x22x15 tee

if you want to go flame free, go mapress

Agree with Simon. These have been out for 20 odd years and in practice are useless. If you need flame free use press or pushfit.

I bought a monument one years ago at Interbuild. I've used it less than once a year, it's too slow to use all the time. It's been handy a few times such as when I came across an airing cupboard lines with polystyrene tiles but for the odd occasion you may as well use tectite or compression.

If you want to get flame free you're probably better going for one of the pressfit systems.
