Big flange on a sludge cock?

I this a joke? When having trouble turning. The nut at base can be undone 1/4 turn tapped up allowing the machined surfaces within the valve to loosen.

I am very sorry to have to re-boot this old thread once again but every attempt I've made thusfar - since 2011 - to source a sludge cock with an extra large flange or, for that matter, some decent, sturdy black nipples has been unsuccessful. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. The customer in question has been waiting since 2011.
