so, we're 6 odd month sinto this course and to be honest, it's 50/50 and that's being generous!

The theory is unstructured, no one know what is going on, should have had the 1st online exam last night, showed up, cancelled due to it not being booked in time, not th etutors fault but still... annoyed.

Anyway, I said to him weneed to talk about the course structure as is all over the place, he went though wahat we need to achieve still,

1). electrical theory and 2 x 1 hour assessments - no clue on when as th eelectrical tutors need to do this - thunbs down

2). 4 x online exams - since we have been doing H&S since we started we all feel we are now chasing ourt tails as three other modules need sorting with exams in 15 weeks.

3). We need to make a steel frame - news to us. What with only one threading machine it's going to take an age, we will suggest we start tomoght.

4) Copper frame, easy to do but no 10mm copper!!! shambles.

As per the above we are not too happy.

The book we have been going through in the practical is not what it seems and we need to move on to what we want to do i.e. sinks, baths taps and valves etc. etc. We need to start and agree a programmed structure.

All in all the tutors are good but the management of the course terrible!

More updates soon.

sinks, baths and valves???/ but thats nothing to do with the course, your on the Bs2000, it doesnt have those things in it

correct, but they are tailoring it to include these as otherwise there is not enough to do i.e once you sort the bending, jointing, etc. etc what else do you do?

It's the basic course but the practical is nowhere near a full academic years worth
