To be fair wb rep in hull is spot on puts the hours in I went on the cdi course last yr he even picked me up and took me there 120 mile round trip. Not a fan overpriced and a pita to work on.

I think fate and/or bad luck has hit me for this post.

Got a message last night from the customer I installed a Vaillant for a couple weeks ago. Hot water keeps cutting out intermittently and boiler throwing up an F70 error.
Called Vaillant technical and as soon as I mentioned F70 they put me straight through to book an engineer visit. Customer not happy.

Typical.

Theyve had a batch of faulty gas valves and some inlet valve thingy in front of it. Vaillant never ever bring out a new model without a fault! But they do sort it.

What's the dark side? Is it where the sun has been obscured by a cubist impression of a boiler?

Vaillant are forever redesigning parts when they realise how bad they are. The one plus side, is they are generally easy to work on.

Yes there is a kit. And no valliant don't fit it as standard when they come out on a fixed price repair .... Like a pump and expansion replacement - some times the technical don't even tell you. But once u know it's all good!

What does the f70 kit consist of?

I think everyone is thinking of the F75 kit which moves the pressure transducer to the flow.

As for F70, it's a transdimensional seal which prevents you tumbling through a portal to the land of the faeries.

You're thinking of the f75 fault code and kit

Which is not detecting pressure rise from the pump starting.
kit moves the sensor

f70 i think is an issue on the pcb or display.
basicly not talking to each other.

F75 is a wee bit of plastic to lift pressure diaphragm as the 3mm port is deal for an air bubble . To prove it's the sensor and you need kit bypass it and your away!

It's the little black finned lump on bottom left. Screwed into flow manifold .. Think two purple wires?
